In 2018 Jack won the Glasgow Short Film Festival Production Attic pitch with his film, Bouba & Kiki (2019), which premiered in the BAFTA qualifying competition at the festival the following year. That same year Jack was selected for the prestigious BFI Network Weekender.

His short film Everyman (2021) was commissioned through the Scottish Documentary Institute’s Bridging the Gap programme, and premiered at this year’s Glasgow Film Festival.

He's currently in post-production for a short film titled 'Who I Am Now', funded by Creative Scotland and LEAP Scotland. The script has been written by BAFTA winning writer Michael Lee Richardson and is being produced by Reece Cargan at Bombito productions.

Jack is developing his first feature, Boifriend, as writer-director and has received early development funding for this through Short Circuit. He has recently been selected for BFI Flare x BAFTA Crew 2021.
