Jack studied filmmaking at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he made his graduation film ‘Gender Twister’. Gender Twister won the runner-up award for the Young Greenhorn Film Award 2014 and My First Job In Film's i.a.w Encounters 90 second Film Contest 2018. It was broadcasted on Sky in 2019.
He made his next short ‘Bouba and Kiki’ after winning the Glasgow Short Film Festival Production Attic Pitch in 2018 and the film premiered at the Glasgow Short Film Festival as part of the BAFTA qualifying Scottish Competition in 2019. That same year Jack was selected for the prestigious BFI Network Weekender.
In 2020 he was commissioned to make his next short as part of the Scottish Documentary Institute’s competitive Bridging the Gap program. A visual essay titled 'Everyman' (commissioned under the title 'Venus & Mars') currently in post-production.
He's currently in pre-production for a short film titled 'Who I Am Now', funded by Creative Scotland. The script has been written by BAFTA winning writer Michael Lee Richardson and is being produced by Reece Cargan at Bombito productions.
