Jack studied filmmaking at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he made his graduation film ‘Gender Twister’. Gender Twister won the runner-up award for the Young Greenhorn Film Award 2014 and My First Job In Film's i.a.w Encounters 90 second Film Contest 2018. It was broadcasted on Sky in 2019.
His next short ‘Bouba and Kiki’ won the Glasgow Short Film Festival Production Attic Pitch in 2018 and premiered at the Glasgow Short Film Festival as part of the BAFTA qualifying Scottish Competition in 2019. That same year Jack was selected for the prestigious BFI Network Weekender.
He’s recently been commissioned to make his next short as part of the Scottish Documentary Institute’s competitive Bridging the Gap program. A visual essay titled 'Venus & Mars' currently in pre-production.
He's also in development with BAFTA winning writer Michael Lee Richardson and Bombito productions to make a short film titled 'Who I Am Now' which has recently received funding from Creative Scotland's Create: Inclusion Fund.
